There have been many Country artist, which have had hit singles cross over into the pop charts, but many people do not think about the rock and pop artist which have had hits on the Country charts, with records that still recieve airplay on not only classic rock, oldies, lite rock and pop radio; but also still recieve airplay on "Classic Country" radio. Here are a few examples.

Eric Clapton "Lay Down Sally"

It's very hard to picture a December without hearing that song. Probably one the best seasonal songs. This has always been one of my favorites by Dan.Leader of The Bandhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cy3GHCy49Dw&feature=related
Carry on.

Lately, I've actually seen Wal-Mart place the Eagles' new album in both the pop and country sections. Great Album!:dude:

I'm not sure, but apperently one the members formed the counry band "Black Hawk" and  guitarist Hughie Thomasson joined "Lynard Skynard" in the nineties.

R.I.P. Hughie Thomasson

Thomasson died from a heart attack on September 9, 2007 at his home in Brooksville, Florida, aged 55

Definitely a great song. I believe it was an old cowboy song from the 1800's.

That's a good song by Jewel but kind of think , this is more like country for her:

Again and Again

I'm not big into this American Idol crap but think this song is more emblematic of old country than most others today. It was on both charts:

Carrie Underwood~ He Cheats

Besides it's not too hard loooking at her.:dude:
