Johnny 99 Johnny Cash's video of that was really cool!! Maybe we'll find it one of these days.
Have you heard the alternate version of Santana's "Game of Love" with Tina Turner singing instead of Michelle Branch? If not you are in for a treat. I like the Michelle Branch version, but I think Tina's version is much better.

Thin Lizzy's version of Bob Seger's "Rosalie".
I had actually never heard Bob Seger's version before now, I have always known that he wrote and recorded the original version, but Thin Lizzy's cover is the most widely known version. The Thin Lizzy version is the one that has recieved a lot of airplay on FM radio. So much airplay, that their recording has become the official version of the song.

I forgot about that one. How many people can actually say that they had Kiss as their back-up band for a day. Garth is the only one I can think of.
I always thought that this one was cool.

I love this cover of "Heatwave" by the Who. I think the Who did this better than the original, which could not have been recorded long before the Who remade it.

Rush - "Heart Full of Soul"

This is one of my all-time favorite covers. I love the way the song is completely different, but still the same. It's beautifully done. One of these days, maybe I'll be able to convince my band that we should do it.

I was never aware that Rush covered "Heart Full of Soul". I am familiar with Chris Issacs' version.

They did an 8-song EP of covers like "Mr. Soul", "For What It's Worth", and "Summertime Blues" in 2004, I think.

Fleetwood Mac actually did the original version of "Black Magic Woman". It was wriiten by their original guitarist Peter Green, and recorded, I think in 1968. Santana did that not long after. Very much of Fleetwood Mac's music beween 1967 and 1975(before Buckingham & Nicks), is relatively unknown to American listeners, with the exceptions of "Oh! Well!" and "Sentimental Lady", even though it's the later re-recordings which get classic rock airplay.
